I remember very well when YWAM Freiburg was housed in private living rooms; first in a shared flat, and then in the apartment of my husband and myself. Later we had our own office in the Salvation Army, followed by a 3-room apartment in Betzenhausen, and now a townhouse with 350 sqm.

Time and again, our team meetings would be too big for the rooms we were at home in. One year ago we started praying, “Lord, extend our tent. Make room for us in the city.” We were not surprised when we eventually got an offer to rent new premises right next to our base. For now, it would be one additional room with the intention of increasing this over time. However, we were surprised about the time frame – we can already move in on the first of October.

THE PURPOSE

During our DTS phases in particular, we reach our limits with our office space. There is a lack of protected spaces for sensitive topics: finances, pastoral talks, leadership meetings, etc. Our main office is fully occupied by our excellent DTS employees. A room in the nearby house is the perfect solution and a real gift from heaven.

WHAT WE NEED

What are the costs? We expect a cost of about 550€ monthly for the new office. In addition, much of our income goes directly into the rent of our current location. Our wish is that both the current and the new office spaces will be covered monthly, so that we have more financial freedom to invest. Altogether this is an additional expenditure of 1.000€ per month.

This is where we reach our limits. We know deeply that we are dependent on God’s provision AND His family. We feel that God is continuing to grow and expand us, and we want to invite you to become a part of His move. A financial investment is also a spiritual statement: “I stand with you, I confirm what God wants to do through YWAM Freiburg.” Of course this also applies to every prayer you pray for us.
